—David M., California. Seller in the May 2021 Auction
Founded in 1990, Acoustic Guitar magazine won the coveted 'Maggie' Award as the Best New Consumer Magazine of the year, and quickly established itself as the leading magazine for all acoustic guitar players, from beginners to performing professionals. Now, with more than 30 years' experience reviewing, recording, and writing about guitars, our team is excited to bring our know-how to auctions. Whether you want to buy, sell, or just learn more about guitars, we're happy to share our expertise. Meet the team behind Acoustic Guitar Auctions.
Acoustic Guitar Auctions are held 3 times per year in February, June, and October. Each auction features 20 to 30 instruments. Auctions are exciting and entertaining events. Even if you’re neither buying nor selling, you get a chance to see what’s available, learn about guitar values, watch the action, and pick up ideas for your next acquisition. We're here to help you find your dream guitar!
Acoustic Guitar Auctions also makes the world a more musical place. That’s because we donate 20% of the net proceeds of every sale to a charitable institution like the Bill Collings Memorial Fund, which supports guitar education in public schools and programs.
The May 2021 Auction featured a one-of-a kind National Resonator, a 1943 Martin 000-18, a picture-perfect Collings D42 with Brazilian rosewood, and more. Take a look.
Our April 2020 Auction featured 12 collectible instruments, commissioned to celebrate Acoustic Guitar magazine’s 10th anniversary in 2000. Explore this unique collection.
